When starting this project I looked back at my past semester works, reflected on it and decided to do better. So again, I planned another game to be made for my internal project, which happens to be a board game inspired by both D&D and Monopoly. Following that, I joined a competition held by C-Idea in order to create my external project. After some talking with my lecturer, he gave an idea that helped me start my external project.

Since the competition has no set theme, I have consulted with my lecturer and settled on making a packaging for the board game I am creating for my internal project. This way, I feel that I could do both projects while focusing on one set of designs, and helping me save some time in thinking up on the creation process.

I made use of interviews as my main form of data collection for both my internal and external projects. Using my friends to form the data needed along with analyzing it and breaking it down to see if there are any major difference in the data for both the internal and external projects.

The interview I have prepared, asked several questions regarding towards board games and tabletop games in general. The interview also asked what they are feeling when they start to play a game, followed along with how they play, with or without other people and how long do they play it for. Analyzing the answers they have given, it becomes clear that most players prefer to play simple board games that require little understanding in order to play with their family members, while liking more complex games like D&D with friends instead.

Here is the initial board that I came up with. It is directly taken from a monopoly board, it was then I realized that I was just copying Monopoly without any of my own uniqueness to it. The cards used were based on D&D own card set that they sell and I placed them on the board where monopoly normally has it on their own monopoly board.

The money was also designed to fit the theme of D&D but the middle part was quite a fickle to come up with a design. So I decided to use the official D&D logo as a design in the middle for the money.

Additionally, I have made the cards and an instruction sheet for the game in order to make it fit with the game. You will see them during the final outcomes as I did not create an initial draft for them.
